Men's Club
Men's Club
Shaar Hashalom invites all male members to participate in the synagogue Men's Club.
Our goal is that the Men's Club offers an enjoyable environment through brotherhood, participation and sponsorship of a variety of synagogue activities, and by providing guidance and assistance to the Congregation, members and facility.
We offer recreational opportunities, volunteer projects and the opportunity to share a multitude of activities with your fellow congregants. We organize and host a variety of congregational activities including breakfasts, carnivals, parties, picnics, religious programs, commemorative programs, and sports games and outings. Male non-Jewish spouses of members and adult males undergoing conversion to Judaism are eligible to join. Dues are free the first year you are a member of the synagogue. In subsequent years the dues cover the cost of a paid up membership dinner hosted each June.
We have a diverse selection of programming and events to meet the interests of men of all ages and interests. And if you don’t see something you’d like to see, please feel free to create and host an event with our assistance and support. We hope to create a spirit of camaraderie and cooperative action among our members for further positive action within our synagogue and our community. We would like to see increased members’ awareness of their Jewish heritage, promote and enhance our Jewish identity, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
