Interfaith Community Council For the past few months, I have been presenting information on the newly formed Greater Clear Lake Interfaith Community Council, hoping to bring together the various faith communities. The mission of this group is to meet others in our faith community to support each other when needed and at the same time, learn about each other and our places of worship. Special Community Family Event Join us for this first time community-wide event, being sponsored by the newly formed Greater Clear Lake Interfaith Community Council. Our first planned event is the “Living by the Golden Rule” meeting with others in our religious community and sharing together on how we each live our lives by this rule. Please join us at the Johnny Arroyo Community Center in League City, on Sunday, November 10th, from 2:00-4:00 PM, with discussions and interactive activities for the Clear Lake Faith-based Community Rabbi Federow will participate on this panel discussion with other clergy. Several representatives on this panel will be discussing how this Golden Rule effects our different faiths and lives; representatives will be from the Jewish, Islam, Hindu, Sikh, Catholic Church, Unity-New Thought, Buddhist communities, to name just a few. Our own Joe Buchanan will be performing as well as having activities for the children and foods from each group. Come learn about each other and from each other.
