Food Bank Donations Collection

Sunday, June 14, 2020 22 Sivan 5780

1:00 PM - 2:30 PMCSH Parking Lot

Help Our Interfaith Community!

Please contribute to Food Bank the need is higher, due to the current situation.

As part of our interfaith community, CSH is going to assist our friends at Clear Lake Baptist Church as we help them to provide food for families in our Clear Lake community. The Clear Lake Food Pantry has been a lifeline for many people, serving over 300 families each week. Recently, families have shown up to take a boxed donation, but the needs are increasing exponentially with our current situation.

We will be asking for your help in providing non-perishable goods to help support the food pantry.

If you are able to help us, we will be at the CSH parking lot fromt 1:00pm-2:30 p.m.

We will unload your car for you, part of our safe distancing initiative! We will need workers, as well. Also, if you are unable to shop, a monetary donation would be greatly appreciated.

How can you help:

  • Purchase food & drop it off at the CSH parking lot during designated hours. (The synagogue will not be open.)
  • Volunteers are needed to help receive the donations at CSH at the designated hours. If you choose to pre-assemble a bag of food, please try to use a brown grocery bag. (This is a great way for all our kids to help out).

The following list of foods are recommended.

  • Bag for a simple family of 4 – peanut butter, crackers,, 2 cans of vegetables, 2 cans of fruit, a bag of dry beans, a box of Hamburger Helper, a can of Sloppy Joe mix, a box of cereal, a small bag of tortillas, a can of black, white or kidney beans.
  • Bag for a homeless person – peanut butter, crackers, cans or cups of fruit with pop top lids, and a box of cereal.
  • Any type of non-perishable foods will be accepted as well (Examples – mac & cheese, nuts, rice, canned soups, pasta, trail mix, granola, canned vegetables, canned fruits, & peanut butter, to name a few).
