Presidents' Message

Preparations are underway for a prospective member open house to be held on Sunday September 7 from 10 - Noon. We hope you will invite your interested friends, neighbors, co-workers to our Synagogue.

We are very proud of our congregants leading and attending our Shabbat services this past month while our Rabbi was on vacation.

You should have received a letter in the mail regarding our High Holy Day seating and the evaluation process of our Rabbi prior to the start of our contract negotiations. Please call the Synagogue office if you did not receive the letter.

We hope you are having a wonderful summer and we look forward to see you at our Synagogue!

Our Sisterhood has just received the Emerald Level of the Women's League of Conservative Judaism's " Jewel in the Crown" award. This honor is awarded annually to select Sisterhoods internationally based on their accomplishments within their community and within their region.
The award was presented at the Women's League Intercontinental convention last week in New Jersey. Cathy Leonard and Sheilla Goldberg accepted this award on behalf of the CSH Sisterhood. Congratulations Sisterhood members !
In addition to the Emerald award, our very own, Cathy Leonard, was named to the Board of Directors for the international parent organization. This Board serves in an advisory capacity to the international Officers and works in an active capacity to assist in ongoing programs and projects. Mazeltov, Cathy !

Thank you to Sharon Rosenthal for organizing and helping to lead services for our July's Sisterhood Shabbat; also a Todah Rabah to our wonderful ladies who participated as well as those bringing dishes/goodies for the Oneg and Kiddush luncheon.

A very special 'thank you' to Lynette Drake, our CSH office administrator, for a very successful summer garage sale. With Lynette's hard work and organizational skills plus the participation of our ladies, we had an exciting two weekends of sales. Thanks to all our wonderful ladies who worked long hours helping to organize and monitor sales. A special Todah Rabah to Elizabeth Bell and also to Hedy Wolpa and Sharon Rosenthal's dedication to the book sale tables for our CSH Library.
